Children's Day Out
First United Methodist Church Children's Day Out Program is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services and is considered an important ministry in our church.
Philosophy
The purpose of our Children's Day Out Program is to provide children with the opportunity to experience loving, happy, spiritual relationships with adults and children outside their own homes. Children begin to develop valuable skills through group play by gaining trust in new adults, expanding their language, social, physical, and developmental skills

Friday - 9:00A.M. - 2:00P.M.
In addition to our CDO program, we offer two Discovery Class
for children who turn two on or before September 15th. The Discovery Class
has a very light structure and works to ready children for preschool.
Emphasis is placed on developing good manners, learning to share, sitting
for short activities, and working on good bathroom habits. Colors, shapes,
weather, and the changing seasons are all introduced. The Discovery Class
is available three days a week and provides your children with many experiences
to enhance their growth.

Registration will be on Wednesday, February 24. You may drop your packet off with me when you drop off your child for the day. We have chosen to do registration differently this year to hopefully cut down on some of the confusion. Please make sure to get your packets turned in that day because on Friday it will be open to anyone. If you have any questions please call me before that day.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our CDO winter Olympics on March 12th. You are welcome to come and watch your child, however we do want the children to participate and enjoy this activity so if you know that you being there will hinder your child from participating we ask that you either don’t come or make sure your child doesn’t see you until after he/she is done.
This activity is for our Discovery classes, but all of our CDO, WDS, and CEC friends will be there to cheer us on.
