The United Methodist Men meet twice each week, Thursday at noon for lunch and Friday at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. We meet in the Family Life Center. We share a time of fellowship, prayer and Bible study. We also meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the Conference Room. All men interested in studying the Scriptures are welcome whether they are members of First Church or not. The UMM also assist and support local Boy Scout troops in the Fort Smith area.
The United Methodist Women of First Church are part of the world's largest women's organization. The group's purpose is "To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; To develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church."
The UMW meet as a whole once a month, and each member meets with her sub-group monthly also. Sub-groups stress Bible study, mission education, spiritual growth, current issues and social action. UMW also greatly supports the missions work of the church.
