Disciple and other Bible Study

Disciple Bible Study

DISCIPLE Bible Studies - The purpose of the four DISCIPLE Bible Studies is to develop strong Christian disciples through regular in-depth study of Scripture. The groups will meet weekly for 2 hours. Through daily readings, class attendance and participation, video lessons by Christian scholars, and engaging dialogue, participants will grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible.

Disciple making and Christian nurturing are the goals of DISCIPLE. This study will cover the entire Bible - Genesis to Revelation. It lays the foundation for transforming Bible study. Persons who have completed DISCIPLE I may then proceed to a DISCIPLE II, III, IV in no particular order.

"If you make my word your home you will indeed be my disciples." John 8:31

Disciple I (“Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study”) is an overview of the Bible. The purpose of Disciple is to develop strong Christian leaders through regular in-depth study of Scripture.

Disciple II Disciple II (Into the Word, Into the World) reviews Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts. This study builds on the biblical knowledge gained through Disciple I and deepens biblical understanding by probing selected portions of Scripture.

Disciple III

the Old Testament and the letters of Paul. The prophets and Paul are continually calling their hearers and readers back to their God  and to a sense of who they are as a “set apart” people.

Disciple IVDisciple IV (Under the Tree of Life) concentrates on the Old Testament writings and some scriptures from the New Testament including John, James, Jude and Revelation.

The following is a description of other Bible Studies -

Jesus in the Gospels: Study the names, places, and Jesus In The Gospelspeople and encounter the Jesus who   is both hard to ignore and hard to control. An attractive, commanding, morally compelling figure as portrayed in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
