First Family's music department welcomes all those who wish
to serve God with their God-given talents. A graded choir program for
children from four years through sixth grade, hand bell choirs for
children and adults, Music Camp, the Chancel Choir, and solo and small
ensemble singing all provide opportunities for service, learning,
fellowship and fun. Every volunteer in the Music Department shares the joy
and fulfillment that comes to those who use their talents in our worship
services. We invite all interested persons to join us as we come together
to "Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord!"

''Thank You''
to the 43 Children of Bayliss Hall Singers, Choirs 1 and II, whose re-enactment of Christ’s birth was so beautifully presented on December 9th in our sanctuary. Thanks to their work and the generosity of those attending, we were able to send over $400 to the Arkansas United Methodist Children’s Home. Thank you!
A very special thank you to:
Terri Dart, Renee Parker, Kelly DeSoto, Jim Cheyne, Linda Dickson, Suzanne Stephens, Pat Fleri, Donna Vickery, Kerri Burris, Sally Ware, Phyllis Eckelhoff, Debbie Hicks and ALL OTHER HELPERS whose love, support and hard work help make Children’s Choirs possible! We especially thank parents who support your child’s service to our church by bringing them to choir!
Children’s Choirs begin AGAIN on Wednesday, January 16th.
See you then!

Choir Newsletter And Other Music Ministry Information
Thank you!
to Chancel Choir members and the Chancel Ringers who made the Methodist Nursing Home Candlelight Service on December 21 possible! The beautiful anthems and readings sung and read to a huge congregation, including so many of our members who are no longer able to attend church, always makes this service doubly meaningful.
Also, humble thanks to the Chancel Choir for the many times you have brought joy to our worshippers during 2007, but ESPECIALLY at our 5:30 and 11 p.m. services on Christmas Eve. You have gone well beyond the call of duty to the call of love. Thank you.
Thank you
to the Ladybells for providing a beautiful worship service for the Pacesetters on December 21. The large group of Pacesetters was very appreciative of your hard work and talent. Thank you!
Ladybells and Chancel Ringers both begin rehearsals again on Jan. 16th.

Sanctuary Organ

The three manual, 43 rank pipe organ in our sanctuary was completed in
1987. Built by Quimby Pipe Organs, Warrensburg, Missouri, it replaced our original E. M. Skinner organ, which was installed in 1921, having been
shipped from Boston down the Mississippi River to Fort Smith. We retained
only one rank from the Skinner, the 16' Pedal Bourdon. The Skinner organ
had 19 ranks, three manuals and had served our congregation long and
well. The Quimby has an electropneumatic action and 8 levels of memory.

Roebuck Chapel

The Roebuck Chapel Organ was installed in 1992. Built by Visser-Rowland
Pipe Organ Company of Magnolia, Texas, the two manual, 14 rank organ
has a tracker action and manually operated stops and couplers. The Roebuck Chapel is used for each 8:30 a.m. Sunday Worship Service,
a 10 a.m. Sunday School class and for many weddings and funerals throughout the year.
