Scouting for Food - February 8 and 13
We are looking for non-perishable food items for the Community Clearinghouse. On Saturday the 8th First Methodist Scouts will be placing bags in the Park Hill and the Fairview Elementary neighborhoods. The following Saturday the scouts will return to pick up the bags of food. If you do not get a bag on the 8th, we will accept your food donation at the church on Scout Sunday.

We mark the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the USA. Join us as we recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.
We are also conducting our annual
Scouting for Food drive. Please
bring non-perishable food items to
church on Sunday, February 14. All
items collected will go to the
Community Clearinghouse.
Pinewood Derby "The Race on C Street" - March 14th
Girl Scout, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, siblings, parents and leaders are welcome to participate in the Pinewood Derby on Sunday March the 14 at 1 PM, in the 3rd Floor Youth Loft (over what used to be North C Street, get it?) Pinewood Derby car kits are available at the Boy Scout Center on Old Greenwood Road, south of Creekmore Park. Bring your kit to the next meeting where you may use our design templates to plan your car design.
Before the big race, Monday the 7th at 6 PM we will set up the derby track on the 3rd floor for testing. You are welcome to bring your car design in for testing and pre-qualification.
We are looking for parents who have access to a band saw to help cut out the kids designs.
