Cornerstones Class
In the beginning there were a few people seeking to create a new adult Sunday School class. Bill and DeDe Hutcheson helped get us started in the early 1970’s. We enjoyed a long period of time with Tom Condren as our regular teacher. When we decided to try being more of a discussion class, we began using the Adult Bible Series, recruiting our discussion leaders from both inside and outside our group. We also enjoy doing focused studies on all types of scriptural topics. Our class has hosted the Valentines Day dinner/dances and our members work in the Angel Food program. We support several on-going outreach programs with our offerings, including Inter-Faith Pre-School and the “Backpack for Children” program. We are a circle of friends averaging 50+ years old, who enjoy coming together to pray, study, and worship. We help each other better understand the teachings of the Holy Scripture, sharing both our questions and our enlightenment. We share our life experiences with each other and open our hearts to reveal our cares and concerns. We love and support each other and seek daily to be better witnesses to those around us. Join us in M311 this Sunday!

Over time, we’ve grown into a more robust group of adults, both single and married, age 30-50 with and without children. We’ve completed a variety of studies on topics such as prayer, faith, spirituality, family, children, and of course the Bible. We’re always looking for new and interesting suggestions, ideas and opinions. Our group often meets for lunch following church services and likes to get together at least quarterly for outings such as bonfires, bowling, movies, dinner, swimming, etc. We meet in room 303 and would love to have you join us!

Roundtable Class: Meets in Room M213 in the main educational building.
Roundtable Class
The class was organized some 40 years ago by a group of young married couples who felt they were too young to be in a class with folks about the age they are now! The original teachers were Dr. William Klusmeier and Don Flanders. Don, being a furniture manufacturer, furnished a “round table” for the members to sit around, hence the name Roundtable Class. The class has long since outgrown the table, but has kept the name. The class today is make up primarily of folks in the mid-fifties to mid-sixties age groups with a few somewhat younger or older than that. Members assume responsibility for a month at a time teaching responsibilities which means they can teach, talk someone else in the class into teaching, bring someone in from outside the class, or even outside the church. The class meets in M213 in the main educational building. The Roundtable Class also uses the Uniform Series International Bible Lessons for Adult Bible Study. The members of the Roundtable class are not “knighted” as were the men who sat around the round table of King Arthur’s day, but are rather “IG-knighted” and are very involved in God’s work both as individuals and as a class.

Seekers Class Seekers Class: The Seekers Bible class consists of a group of seniors meeting in Room M107 in the main educational building.
The Seekers class was formed in 1968 by a group who were dissatisfied with the International Lessons, too much “Arthur Miller” and other unsatisfactory themes. Our first teacher was Larry Morgan who was a Bible scholar. We used the Bible, primarily the New Testament, as our lesson source. Some time later, Dr. Hugh Lewing would alternate with Larry. Our class has seen many teachers in its years including Christina Alter, Clifford Davis and now Charlie Moffett. Although our ranks have shrunk, many Sundays the Seekers will have 100% attendance. When anyone misses, we usually know the reason he or she is unable to attend. Our mission projects include donations to the Angel Food ministry and donations every month to the Clearing House and the Gospel Rescue Mission of Van Buren.
