March 29-April 5, 2026
Palm Sunday - March 29, 2026
Palm/Passion Sunday celebrates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the beginning of Holy Week. The waving of palm branches recalls the crowd that welcomed him as King (Matthew 21:8–9), while the reading of the Passion narrative recounts the events leading to his crucifixion. This day invites us to reflect on the tension between acclaim and faithfulness, preparing our hearts to walk with Christ through the challenges of life and the call to serve others.

Maundy Thursday - April 2, 2026 - Sanctuary at Downtown Campus

Maundy Thursday is also called Holy Thursday and marks the night of Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples. The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning “commandment,” reflecting Jesus’ call to love one another as he loved them (John 13:34). On Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 PM, we’ll join together in the Sanctuary for a quiet, contemplative Holy Communion service. Sermon by Rev Blake Bradford.

Good Friday - April 3, 2026 - East Campus
|
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus, the ultimate act of self-giving love and forgiveness. This solemn day invites reflection on the meaning of suffering, sacrifice, and grace, pointing toward hope and renewal even in the midst of life’s darkest moments. On Good Friday, April 3 at 6:00 PM, in the Faith Chapel at our East Campus, we will hold a powerful Tenebrae Service of Shadows, rooted in the Gospel Passion narrative. Through scripture, silence, and the gradual darkening of the chapel, we will remember Christ’s suffering and death and enter into the mystery and weight of the cross. Sermon by Rev Abbey Maynard.
