Due to the high rates of infection, hospitalizations, and deaths due to COVID-19, the Arkansas Bishop of the UMC has strongly recommended that churches suspend all in-person gatherings and worship until the situation improves. The Trustees and Executive Team of First United Methodist Church concur with the Bishop's COVID Task Force. Therefore, all in-person gatherings and worship will be suspended until further notice. Livestream and radio worship will continue as before. The CEC and Weekday School will operate according to Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. The church office will remain open at present for regular office hours. Christmas Eve services will be livestreamed at 4:00 p.m. (Connexion) and 5:30 p.m. (Sanctuary) on December 24.
