WHO: Families with Children In July, we are focusing on Family ministries by sending out weekly Bible studies with fun challenges for families. Families are encouraged to share photos on social media. We will also host activities every Wednesday night, including swimming, bowling, minigolf, trampoline park visits, and a baseball game. These events are great opportunities to invite families seeking a church home or wanting to engage in children's ministry. |
First YOUthAssembly - Arkansas Conference UMC
July 14-18 Hendrix College Assembly is the longest as well as the last Conference youth event for the school year. Assembly is held at Hendrix College and provides a break in the summer, allowing for deeper relationship building between youth, and helps strengthen and nurture them in their relationship with Christ. WHO: Jr. High Assembly (current grades 6-8) & Sr. High Assembly (current grades 9-12) are held simultaneously with some worship together, but most activities, including small groups, are held separate from each other. Road Trip: Mall of America in Minneapolis
June 2-6 WHO: 6th-12th Grade This is a fun trip as summer kicks off and we head to Minneapolis to experience the Mall of America, the hundreds of things it has, and more of the city. This trip is open to youth who have received the minimum number of points to participate. Middle School Summer Mission Trip
June 23-27 WHO: 6th-8th Grade We are heading to Little Rock to serve with various organizations, and have some fun, while staying relatively close to Fort Smith. We are staying at Little Rock FUMC. Registration cost covers transportation, work, lodging, lunches, dinners and some fun stuff while in Little Rock. Experience the Fort
July 28-31 WHO: 6th-12th Grade ($50) Join us for 4 days as we encounter Fort Smith in ways that are not typical for most residents. We will experience Fort Smith in ways similar to tourists, people with disabilities, people utilizing public transportation, and more, while also experiencing the diversity of food and cultural influences here. |
